Hello everyone! How are you guys doing?
Today's post is a bit special: last week I was asked by my
friend Ida, owner and fashion designer of Mimì Factory brand, to draw some
illustrations inspired by her s/s 2012 collection.
So this post is to introduce you to this amazing brand, born
from Ida Ruggiero's creativity and passion for vintage clothes.
Ida started breathing fashion when she was a child: her
mother in fact, is a seamstress and Ida has always lived in contact with
fabrics and patterns.
Once grown up, after a brilliant degree in psychology she
carried on her personal idea of style creating her own brand, and that's how
Mimì Factory came to light.
Recycling is the innovative aspect of her brand: Ida loves to shop old clothes and fabrics in
flea markets to turn them into new and revised clothes.
This feature, together with a great passion for her job, was
probably the winning factor of the brand, because every woman who buys Mimì
Factory creations knows she's buying a unique and special garment, which is
also completely Made in Italy.

Il post di oggi è
un pò speciale: la settimana scorsa sono stata contattata dalla mia amica Ida,
proprietaria e stilista del brand Mimì Factory, che mi ha proposto di disegnare
delle illustrazioni ispirate alla sua collezione s/s 2012.
Questo post nasce
quindi con l'intento di presentarvi Mimì Factory, un brand nato dalla
creatività di Ida Ruggiero e dal suo amore per il vintage.
Ida ha iniziato a
respirare la moda da bambina: sua mamma infatti è sarta, e Ida ha vissuto tra
stoffe e modelli sin dall'infanzia.
Successivamente,
dopo la laurea in psicologia, ha deciso di tradurre la passione per la moda in
un brand tutto suo, ed è così che ha dato vita al marchio Mimì Factory.
L'innovazione del
brand è il "riciclaggio": Ida ama girare per mercatini alla ricerca
di capi vintage da rivisitare.
Questa
caratteristica, insieme al forte amore per il suo lavoro, ha costituito il fattore vincente del brand, poichè ogni
donna che acquista un capo firmato Mimì sta comprando un vestito unico e
rigorosamente Made in Italy.
